MBC made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. American guard Marcus Foster (196-2002, college: Xavier) nailed 26 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side and American-German Spencer Reaves (191-1995, college: Central Mo.) accounted for 28 points. Danish forward Dane Erikstrup (208-2003, college: WSU) came up with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks and American guard Austin Luke (191-1994, college: Belmont) added 18 points and 6 assists respectively for Groningen in the defeat. Four Groningen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
